• The Noto Peninsula, Japan

Noto is easier to get to than it used to be; the legendary Koshi Road, once trodden by the Yamabushi, is paved, making it an easy car-ride from Kanazawa. Flanked by mountains to the East and the Sea of Japan to the West, the road winds its way along the peninsula, and every turn is breathtakingly beautiful.
