• Art and Craft from Kanazawa, Japan

While some people do find their way from Kanazawa to Wajima on the windswept highway along the Noto Peninsula, bordered by the sea on one side and mountains on the other, few appear to venture off the beaten track. When we arrived halfway between the two in Naka-Noto, a small weaving village of just a few houses, not far from Hakui they told us that we were the first foreigners to visit.
