Tortillas, called blandas in Oaxaca, are a dependable companion to any Mexican meal, and you can buy a stack of them fresh off the press at any market in the city. Typically used to keep tortillas hot, these pretty, colorful baskets are also used to store sewing kits. We purchased them at Mercado Abastos, reputed to be the largest open-air market in all of Mexico.
