Bad hair days. We’ve all had them. Keep your locks in line with one of these spiffy, hand-carved, hand-painted combs, crafted at the workshop of siblings Vicente and Brisia Hernandez. Vicente and Brisia are 3rd generation artisans who’ve been practicing their craft for 40 years; he carves, she paints and the result is truly something special. The Hernandez workshop is located in San Martín Tilcajete, one of two major centers for alebrije—the fantastically painted folk art sculptures that owe their life to one ill artist’s fever dream.
