We bought this yellow, red and blue tapestry from Ly Ta May in Ta Phin village, where she told us that each panel of embroidery takes 3-6 months to make. The thin blue row of da'jungh, or tree designs, symbolizes the importance of parents, while some of the other designs - the chicken, rice and mountain symbols - can be interpreted a bit more literally. As pretty as a painting, we think this would look excellent framed on the wall.
