Designed by the prolific poster designer, illustrator and classically-trained painter Wieslaw Walkuski, this surreal vintage poster depicts a 1985 Polish film translated as either “Tears Won’t Help” or ”It’s No Use Crying, Girl”. Directed by Stanislaw Lenartowicz, one of the founders of the Polish film school, the film tells the story of the writer and ex-showgirl Maria Ukniewska.
