One of a Kind!

Destination: Mumbai, India

Boasting a gold border at top and bottom, this vintage brass tumbler, the perfect vase, is named for the Rani of Jhansi, a warrior-queen whose archery skills would have given Katniss Everdeen a run for her money. We purchased it at the storied Chor Bazaar, where you can find all kinds of vintage Bollywood posters and Victorian knickknacks. “Chor,” which means “thieves” in Hindi, was actually a mispronunciation of another Hindi word, “shor,” meaning “noisy.”
