  Instead of taking the highway to Alwar City all the way from Delhi, we got off the highway, and onto the scenic backroads. Alwar City, Rajasthan, was once the capital of the princely state of Alwar, and is surrounded by many forts and palaces.This is Vijay Mandir Palace with a lake in the foreground and gardens in the back.
