• Buzzing with merchants and mothers, the market is the heart of every locale. At this morning bazaar in Bagan, glints of light filtered through the rafters overhead. The air was damp and cool, an appreciated shift from the lush tropical heats. Shoppers filled brilliantly hued baskets with vegetables and home provisions, often pausing at makeshift cafes for milky black tea and a moment of mingalabas (Hello in Burmese!).
