Anush Mirbegian, is the daughter of a Tehran born Armenian and a New Englander with European blood. Her unique blend of cultural histories has had a profound impact on her. She seeks out “cultural collages” wherever she goes, counting them as one of the influences in her life and travels. Her work in fashion and art has been the impetus for her love of hand made textiles. She counts a three-month sojourn in Armenia and two weeks in Burma as her most challenging and cherished travel memories. Anush journeys for roadside tea conversations, bright pink and the electric artisan hands that inspire her own work. She lives between Barcelona and Brooklyn.
