• The Weavers of Inle Lake, Burma

As the motor on the speedboat came to a halt and we waded to the dock, you could hear the rhythmic clatter of the weaving looms. The weavers of In Paw Kone at Inle Lake were known for magically transforming floating lotus stems into a material that feels similar to linen. Meeting these women and spending time speaking with them and witnessing their seasoned weaving hands work was one of my most treasured moments in Burma.
