I’m Paulette Mitchell, and have been passionate about travel all my life. The author of 13 award - winning cookbooks, I'm am known internationally for multi-ethnic, quick-to-prepare recipes with gourmet flair.  I’m also the producer of a series of Telly Award-winning travel videos, as well as educational videos featuring ingredients and cooking methods of many world cuisines.

In the last 30 years, I have been an enrichment speaker on cruise ships, and have been lucky to visit over 120 countries around the world.  I offer culinary presentations featuring the cuisines of the ports.  As a photographer, I also present slideshow lectures pairing my favorite photos with talks offering insight into societies, traditions, and customs. 

I love to shoot photos of people, especially those with their products in food markets.  These experiences are my greatest source of inspiration. Not only do I enjoy taking photos of the unique when I travel, but I also seek unusual and distinctive objects.  In particular, I treasure jewelry made with African beads, especially those that incorporate antique elements.
