• Of course, what with Luis Sonko’s love charms being so popular, we wonder how many Bolivian couples have met while holding matching signs, protesting a road that would cut through the Amazon, or demanding better welfare support for the disabled. In the end, it’s no wonder that the people who fight so passionately for their freedom are the same ones who fall so madly in love; as someone once said, “the most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire.”
