• Chinese Caligraphy

The calligraphy of Chinese characters is an important aspect of Chinese culture. People practice water calligraphy everyday on the pavement in parks and on the sidewalks in Beijing. The sun and heat eventually erase all their graceful strokes and the artists with their enormous brushes start all over again. It is the most beautiful thing to get up early and watch.

Photography and words by Jacqueline Frank. In this feature "The Traveler", people from around the world share their travel stories and street -market finds.
