• Chinese Chess, Beijing China

Xiangqi, or Chinese chess is one of the most popular board games in China. This street scene is usually somewhere in an alleyway or on park benches with two elderly men slapping their pieces in excitement with onlookers of every age. Along with tai chi and group dancing, it’s a pastime enjoyed by men and women.

Photography and words by Jacqueline Frank. In this feature "The Traveler", people from around the world share their travel stories and street -market finds.
